Regular avalanche forecasts for the Manti Skyline are done for the season. Intermittent forecasts will be issued as needed dictated by significant weather that affect the avalanche conditions.
The April 14 to 16 storm dropped up to 10" of new snow. The wind blew that snow around a bit in the higher terrain. Fresh drifts were somewhat sensitive on Saturday, April 17 and have stabilized since. The new snow consolidated quickly from daytime heating. No rapid warm up occurred so no significant wet avalanches happened. There is no dramatic warm up expected through mid week so I'm not anticipating any real avalanche threat. Overall the snowpack is currently stable with a LOW avalanche danger.
