Was skiing Scott's Backdoor and looked across to Lane's Leap. Looks like there were two avalanches. I couldn't see any tracks in or out.. One was maybe 40' across while the other was maybe twice that. Looks like there may have been others as well. Both crowns look shallow - like maybe 6-8"
On the way down BCC I saw a number of small slides that looked to have similar characteristics.Also saw what looked like a pretty good sized avalanche on Gobblers but couldn't get a picture. Felt like the snow today had a bit of a density inversion when not hitting crust and didn't seem terribly well bonded to the old snow. Figure the avalanches occurred during the storm on either the density inversion or at the new/old snow interface.
