Observed this fallen cornice on chicken hill ridge in the bunchgrass drainage. Strong west wind at times: snow flags are evident in the photo.
We had some good turns in 4-6" of graupel on top of fairly supportable damp old snow at the higher elevations. Bellow 7400' the snowpack became unsuportable.
