Comments
We came across this avalanche by chance and could see that it was triggered by a snowbike. Not huge (R2 D2) but it certainly could have bossed someone around, especially on skis. 8" of snow fell three days prior accompanied by two days of strong SW winds. We have lingering concerns over basal facets, especially in shallow areas which this certainly was. Encouragingly, this slide did not fail that deep. Basal facets in this area are gaining strength, finally!
