"Hi Toby, I saw you had written about the boss canyon avalanche, I saw the slide path last Saturday 2/17 and figured someone had reported it. I have pictures below. As you can see it was fairly large and near the slope by the safety shelter. Looks like it was remotely triggered on the north end on the ridge top and fractured along the cliff edge judging by the snowmobile tracks and where the slide started. This avalanche fits into the pattern we've been seeing across the mountains of Northern Utah. The avalanche appears to have occurred on an east-facing slope and may have failed on a thin persistent weak layer above a melt-freeze crust that was buried on around Valentine's Day....
