This avalanche came down as we were at our truck in the Aspen Grove parking lot. The rumble was ferocious and the powder cloud enormous. The top of Elk Point was in the clouds. Visibility was generally poor but maybe about 1 mile. It was snowing as well. Time of event was roughly noon or 12:00pm.
The morning snow appeared to be very high moisture and heavy.
