We crossed this slope on Jan 1st and the surface sounded like broken glass (aka very faceted) and it had some surface hoar on top too.
There's a good chance this slope avalanched two times during heavy snowfall in mid January. While this slope is very sheltered and doesn't ever get much wind, the winds in mid Jauary reached far into the trees and affected even the most sheltered slopes.
NOTE - the bed surface and underlying snow remains VERY faceted. It may easily avalanche again when more snow returns.
Also, the steep area in the trees adjacent to this slope also avalanched. The next open slope avalanched maybe on Jan 16 the same time that Double Hill avalanched.
