Comments
We observed this on Saturday, 1-20-24. We might have remotely triggered it on Thursday, 1-18-24 since we skied on the slope above. We triggered a few collapses but did not notice any when we were low on the slope. Notice the cracking across the slope to the right of the avalanche.
This highlights the threat to fishermen along this stretch of river when dangerous avalanche conditions exist at low elevations in Logan Canyon. We saw a group of fly fishermen heading into severe avalanche terrain today in the lower Dugway area. They were probably unaware of the current avalanche risk on the stretch of river they were approaching.
