Comments
Large swath or well-developed cornice cleaved. The slide ran around 1200 feet. Debris pile up deep in the main Rattlesnake gully. Cornices on this ridge are quite sensitive to the sun. Each of the gullies running into the main rattlesnake gully showed day or two old soft slide debris. I would expect Rattlesnake to be quite active on warm afternoons in the near future.
Comments
I caught a view of this cornice fall avalanche from southern Cache Valley this morning (weed, 3-18-23)
