After skinning to the top of the Needles Gondola at Snowbasin Resort, we noticed a large avalanche had occurred in Middle Bowl Cirque. This is in bounds avalanche terrain. It appeared the avalanche start zone was near the ridge top with very large blocks of debris at the runout zone. There were no other people in the area when we were there. We did not go near the avalanche area and skied down from the lodge. All of the slopes we skied were very stable.
