We were seeing cracking throughout the new storm snow. Stepping out around a more wind exposed section of ridge line, we remotely triggered a denser wind slab and were surprised by how easily the initial slab propagated down the slope to create a lager avalanche than expected. Today's forecast was spot-on to the conditions we experienced throughout the morning.
