Red Flags Comments
Though most of the wind loading has already taken place, with winds observed to be decreasing throughout the day as the storm pulse exited, new cracking and collapsing was observed (pictured). Two separate collapses were observed in a wind loaded gully area near a drainage bottom, one propagating 20ft, and the other 50ft. Both did not produce avalanches, as the tested slopes were short and supported from below.

Comments
Contrasting the above mentioned cracking and collapsing, the attached snow profile was dug in an area of relative shelter, and did not produce propagation, as the new snow (snow beginning 20241208) is observed to be lacking the necessary strength to form a cohesive slab.
