Comments
Travel today was from 7-9.5k. Went back to Butler fork after a few weeks. Recent snowfall was most definetly needed just to get travel back to being kind of manageable. Still had to walk out in a few places.
Dug a few hastypits on lower elevation east faces, and found structure to be fair. Upper elevations of cousre having poor structure. However in sheltered locations, the new load still didn't have much of a slab. On and just below the ridges, I found dense slabs sitting on graupel with nothing but poor structure. Today I had to take the long way in to a few of these locations, just to avoid the Avalanche hazard. On a good note, the higher elevation snow is in, and currently its powder.
