Comments
Intentional Slope Cut in Small Wind Loaded Pocket Easily Triggered a Touchy Slab formed by the Intense overnight and early morning WNW Winds. There was Widespread Human Triggered Avalanche activity on a significant amount of the steep terrain in the Upper elevations of this nature and problem. Above approximately 9700 feet the slick/crusty pre-storm bed surface did not allow for good bonding to the incoming new snow that consisted of rimed PP and graupel. The majority of the avalanches observed had aspects of NE, E, SE, and S.
