I snowshoed above Lake Blanche to lower Sundial area. I could see evidence of wet release avalanches along the northwest and likely into north facing slopes.
I spoke with a party of awesome skiers who had skinned up from the parking lot and skied the lower angle slopes above Lake Blanche. They said the skiing was great and I've included pictures which show their ski and skin tracks.
From a snowshoeing perspective, the snow was deep and incredibly creamy for sure. A great day to be out.
As noted in my avalanche report that occurred below the cliff bands in Mill B South, watch for afternoon releases blasting down from above the next few days.
