Conditions in the Abajo Mountains remain generally too thin for over snow travel off of roads and mostly benign avalanche conditions exist. Isolated, unstable slabs of wind drifted snow may exist on the leeward sides of ridge crests and terrain features in wind affected terrain. Wind slabs are recognizable by their smooth, rounded appearance, and cracking is a sign of instability.
For now, low snow conditions are the greatest hazaerd. We will begin issuing regular updates when conditions warrant.
