It was very easy to trigger slides today. This was one of four slides triggered in the same area. NE 8500 ft. Slope angle was in the 34-38 degree range for all of them. They ran between 100-200 ft vertical varying in width from 40- 100 ft. These ran on Tuesday/Wednesday old snow surface. There is a slippery crust 3-4 inches below the old snow surface. The initial slide broke above the ski cut resulting in a short ride at the top of the slide. All the other slides broke at the ski cut. The skier was able to dig out by hand.
