Weather and Snow

A few clouds are hanging over the mountains, but we should see clearing skies and a bright, sunny day by mid morning. WNW winds are blowing the same that they have been for the last 24 hours, averaging 15-20 mph along ridge tops with occasional gusts to 30 mph. They'll continue to blow like that today. 10,000' temps are in the mid teens and won't get much higher today.
We've been on a good track since Christmas, and the snowpack is currently115% of normal!
Snow totals at Buckboard Flat (8924')
Snow totals at Camp Jackson (8858')
Wind, temperature, and humidity on Abajo Peak (11,000')
National Weather Service point forecast.
Recent Avalanches
Dustin Randall from ROAM Industry sent in these pics of recent avalanche activity up North Creek. It's been an active month up there.
This avalanche hit the road just before North Creek Pass. The terrain is not what one would always suspect.
