The avalanche danger is generally LOW today. Human triggered avalanches are unlikely.
With continued warm temperatures and very wet and punchy snow conditions, it is wise to stay out of steep gullies where even a small wet avalanche could pile up debris very deeply.

Weather and Snow
Current Conditions: It was a warm day on Wednesday with high temperatures into the mid 40s along the higher terrain. The snowpack is wet and sloppy in the low and mid elevations. There was still a hint of cold snow on steeper due north facing aspects above about 10,000 feet. The wind was from the east and was slightly breezy along the ridges and still is this morning. It stayed warm overnight with lows in the mid 30s.
Mountain Weather: A large "closed low pressure system" spinning off to our southwest will push a litte moisture into our region today bringing the chance for snow. I'm not expecting much out of this. Perhaps a trace to a few inches of snow is possible. Temperatures will remain fairly warm today and the rain-snow level will be up around 8000 feet. Friday looks like a pretty nice day with partly cloudy skies and continued warm temperatures.
