The overall avalanche danger is generally LOW. It's easy to let your guard down when the avalanche danger is LOW. Continue to use safe backcountry protocols by only putting one rider on a steep slope at a time and don't regroup at the bottom of steep slopes. Make sure everyone is carrying beacons, shovels and probes and knows how to use them.

Weather and Snow
Current Conditions: Riding conditions are excellent right now. The recent storm put down about 7 inches of new snow with the last of it being low density powder. The low density powder was slightly prone to sluffing on the steepest slopes but didn't pose much threat. Southerly facing slopes became damp on Tuesday and you'll find a melt/freeze crust on them this morning.
Mountain Weather: Nice weather continues through Friday with daytime highs in the mid 20s to around 30. Weather models now show the storm that originally was going to pass to our south on Saturday may reach our area and give us a shot of snow. Stay tuned as this storm progresses.
