Forecast for the Skyline Area Mountains

The skiff of snow and breezy conditions won't change the avalanche danger much. Overall, the danger is MODERATE. Small human triggered avalanches are possible especially where fresh drifts have formed. Keep in mind that the wind is from the east which is not all that common. This will form drifts in unusual places.
NOTE: The snowpack on the Skyline is very weak and avalanche conditions are bound to get dangerous if we see a change in the weather pattern with snow storms moving through.

Weather and Snow
Current Conditions: There was a dusting of snow overnight with gusty east wind. Temperatures were in the mid teens.
Mountain Weather: The east wind is going to remain pretty breezy today. We'll see partly cloudy skies with temperatures into the low 20s. Weather models continue to hint at a wetter pattern starting Friday. Because of model inconsistency over the last few months, I'm highly skeptical. Hopefully, the pattern holds together and we start seeing some storms.
