current conditions Saturday was a nice day up in the mountains with mild temperatures and light wind. The snow is melting off fast at the lower elevations. Overnight mountain temperatures were in the upper 20s with light southeast wind. |

As time goes on, the chance for triggering an avalanche that breaks into weak sugary faceted snow near the ground becomes less. Triggering something is still a very real possibility though. Steep northwest, north and east facing upper elevation slopes are VERY suspect still. It's tricky now because you might get onto 20 slopes without triggering anything and then the 21st slope releases. |

weather We'll see mostly cloudy skies today with high temperatures in the upper 30s and light easterly wind. Mild weather continues early in the week and then a storm system will start to impact our area later in the week perhaps bringing some snow. |
