special announcement State Road 31 is closed at the top of Fairview Canyon at the junction with State Road 264. Huntington Canyon also remains closed. Parking along the roads is going to be an issue this weekend. You will not be able to access the parking lots along the Skyline Summit/Big Drift area or Miller Flat due to snow removal that still needs to be completed. The closures will most likely last through Sunday. |

current conditions Weather was nice on Saturday with fairly mild temperatures and light wind. The west side of the Skyline saw a lot of sun while the east side stayed in the clouds for most of the day. Sunny slopes heated up and you'll find a crust on them today. Riding conditions remain excellent. |

recent activity We did not see any new avalanches nor did anyone report any. Keep in mind that we only hear about 35% of the avalanches that people trigger. Please let us know if you see or trigger any. This greatly helps us produce better avalanche forecasts. |

weather We're going to see mostly cloudy skies today with ridgetop high temperatures in the mid 20s. Wind will be calm to light in speed. Skies will clear out up high over the next few days as high pressure moves in. Temperatures will be very mild by Wednesday. A period of storms is shaping up for the second half of the week. |
