current conditions Yet another impressive storm for the Manti-Skyline. We've picked up 12 to 18" of new snow in the last 24 hours. It is still snowing at 7am. The wind was strong from the southeast on Saturday and has now veered more to the west and slowed a bit but it's still blowing along the ridges. A cold front has moved through and temperatures have dropped into the teens. Travel on the snow will be difficult today due to so much new snow. |

recent activity I did not see any new avalanches on Saturday however the wind and visibility did not allow for good travel. My partner and I did experience some localized cracking under some recently formed wind and sun crusts. With more snow loaded on top of these areas, especially in the wind zone, a person could trigger a decent size avalanche today. |

description
The southeast wind Saturday and the west wind today will produce the biggest avalanche concern out there today. Fresh drifts on various facing slopes are likely to be sensitive. |

weather Anticipate cloudy skies, snow, gusty west ridgetop wind, and temperatures dropping into the single digits today. Snowfall will start to taper off as the day progresses. I'm anticipating another 3 to 6 inches of snow today but more is possible. The storm moves out tonight and into Monday. It looks like a couple of clear days Monday and Tuesday. |
