bottom line The avalanche danger remains HIGH today especially on slopes around 35 degrees in steepness that face north through east. Conditions are ripe for an accident. Stay off of and out from underneath steep slopes especially in the mid and upper elevations.

special avalanche bulletin We have dropped the Avalanche Warning but dangerous conditions still exist on steep slopes in the higher terrain. Large human triggered avalanches are still very likely. |

current conditions It looks like the Manti Skyline picked up another 3 to 5 inches of snow overnight. |

recent activity A natural avalanche cycle occurred on Tuesday and continued into Wednesday with very strong wind. I was able to get a look around on Thursday and witnessed countless avalanches that released during the natural avalanche cycle. Below is just one example. This was in Lake Canyon.
